Getting there: Taxis ($16-$25 from Midway; more than $36 from O'Hare) and airport shuttles ($16-$25) are the most convenient ways to reach the hotel. For those traveling lightly, CTA, Chicago's light rail, costs less than $5.

. Travelers taking the CTA train from O'Hare ride the blue line to Washington and Dearborn and then receive a free transfer to the red line. From the red line, they exit at Grand and walk two blocks east and three blocks north to the hotel. From Midway, travelers take the orange line to Roosevelt, receive a free transfer to the red line, and continue to the exit at Grand and walk two blocks east and three blocks north to the hotel.

Getting around: Many stores, restaurants, and attractions are within walking distance of the hotel. Public transportation (less than $5) and taxis also are convenient for navigating the downtown area. During summer, fall, and the holiday season, a free trolley operates to many popular Chicago tourist spots; a stop is within three blocks of the hotel. Rental cars are not practical due to heavy traffic and the high cost of parking.
